A group of shop-keeping families are transported back to the birth of the high street in the 1870s, and propelled through a century of change, right up to the modern era and the 1970s.

Hugely successful living history series. I filmed, produced and directed the 6 x 60 mins working with a large cast and crew on location, and scripting and editing the 1940s Second World War film. I was responsible for filming all of the family contributors, capturing moving emotional journeys, which formed the pivotal narrative spine of the entire series.
