LADETTE TO LADY
RDF MEDIA FOR ITV
5 x 60
Hard core ladettes are sent back to a 1950’s finishing school in Yorkshire
I filmed, produced and directed this first series and helped devise the format and style for what was to become a highly successful and controversial constructed reality show.
This was in part a living history show, in which we re-created the British 1950s finishing school curriculum. The ladettes felt they were really at a 1950s school which created much comedy, drama, transformation and growth. I was responsible for scriptwriting, producing and directing ladettes and staff, self-shooting back-stories then making five programmes in five weeks on location. Then directing edits for my two films.
Critic’s choice across press,
